Born
and brought up in Lancashire with a farming background,
I graduated from Liverpool University in 1974 and worked
first in the Lake District. I always wanted to live in
Scotland so moved to Orkney a year later, where I started
my own practice.
In 1985 I decided to move to the mainland where there
was scope to expand further and established Town and
Country Veterinary Group. Much of my time is now spent
on management of the practice but I also consult at the
Banchory surgery.
I spend a lot of time outdoors - hillwalking winter and
summer, ski-mountaineering, travelling abroad, particurlarly
visiting remote areas to see their wildlife.
